Zwift is a virtual cycling app that is transforming indoor cycling. Discover training plans, ride with friends from around the world, and workout anytime. You can run Zwift on your PC or Mac, but also on a variety of Smartphones, Streaming Devices, and Tablets. Detailed information, including but not limited to, how to get started with this virtual platform can be found on the Zwift Website.

If you chose to run Zwift on a smart device, it is also recomended to have the software installed on a PC or MAC, as it is easier to manipulate the training files on these devices. We will call these: "The Primary Device".
The following are things you need to check before proceeding to the next step:

  1. If this is a brand new setup, go ahead and find your Zwift Workouts folder. Both on the PC and MAC these should be located in the \Documents\Zwift\Workouts\XXXXX (Where XXXXX is your Zwift Atlethe ID number - usually a five digit or higher number. This should not contain any files.
  2. If you had this install for a while and did use custom workouts in the past, in order to eliminate any issues, it is better to start with a clean slate. On your Primary Device:
    • Delete all files in your XXXXX folder.
    • Start Zwift and go to Custom Workouts.
    • If your old custom workouts are still there (including any older GoP), you will have to manually delete them. This can be accomplised by editing each workout individually and clicking on the garbage bin. Although this seems tedious, it can be done quickly.
    • Exist Zwift application (shut down).
    • Start Zwift and go back into the Custom workouts and confirm that your old custom workouts are no longer there. If still there, reapeat these steps.
  3. On your Secondary Device:
    • Start Zwit and go to Custom Workouts.
    • Confirm that you have no worouts listed in your custom workouts section.
    • If your old custom workouts are still there (including any older GoP), you will have to manually delete them. This can be accomplised by editing each workout individually and clicking on the garbage bin.
    • Start Zwift and go back into the Custom workouts and confirm that your old custom workouts are no longer there. If still there, reapeat these steps.

If everything went as planned, you are now ready to start setting up the new GoP workouts.
